50 Practical Ways to Use AI Agents
Real uses for ministry, Bible study, work, and home, each matched to a type of AI agent and a tool from our Toolbelt, with the step where you approve the work. No technical background required.50 ways, numbered Way 1 to Way 50.
Redeem the Time
Plan First, Then Hand Off
“The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want.”Proverbs 21:5 (KJV)
These are 50 small, specific jobs an AI agent can help with. How much time you get back depends on your volume, your setup, and how much you hand off. Each one needs a clear task and your review.
Every tool named in Way 1 to Way 50 and in the bonus workflows is one we use, from the AFC AI Toolbelt. Each way is tagged with one of the seven types of AI agents and ends with the step where you approve the work.
A word on permissions
Give each agent only the access its job needs, and decide where it must stop and ask you: before it sends, publishes, pays, books, or deletes. For setting permissions and approvals step by step, see Lesson 3 of Building Your AI Ark, “Raising Your AI Agent Like a Child” (Module 2, coming soon).
Privacy matters too. Prayer requests are confidential. Get everyone’s consent before you record a call or a meeting. Keep children’s details, donor records, and account numbers out of tools that do not need them.

Start Here: Pick Your First Agent
Don’t start with all 50. Start with one.
It researches and advises
It gathers information, reads the sources you connect, and recommends. It does not send, book, buy, or change anything. This is the safest place to start. More on Advisor Agents
It also does the work
It can send, update, book, or post inside the access you give it. It needs clear permissions and approval points before anything public, any money, or any deletion. See the difference

Bonus Workflows 1-3
Three bonus workflows beyond the 50 ways. In each one, a team of agents and tools passes the work from one step to the next, and people approve it at the checkpoints. More on Connected Agent Crews.
Bonus Workflow 1
Type 7: Connected CrewSunday Sermon to Monday Newsletter
Your sermon becomes a recap, a small-group guide, a graphic, and a newsletter, all waiting for the pastor’s approval on Monday morning.
- After the service, the sermon transcript goes into a shared Google Doc.
- Claude pulls out the main points and drafts a short recap and a small-group discussion guide in the same document.
- Ideogram makes a quote graphic from one line of the sermon, with the verse checked word for word.
- The recap is built into a Klaviyo email, and Buffer holds the social posts as drafts.
- Hark reminds the pastor Monday morning that everything is ready to review.
Use: Google Docs, Claude, Ideogram, Klaviyo, Buffer, Hark
You approve: The pastor reads and approves the recap, the guide, the graphic, the email, and every post. Nothing sends or publishes until then.
Bonus Workflow 2
Type 7: Connected CrewPrayer Request Care Loop
A simple loop that makes sure every prayer request is received, prayed over, and followed up by a real person, while the request itself stays private.
- A visitor submits a request through the prayer form on your website.
- Formspree sends it straight to the prayer team’s private inbox. The request is not run through an AI.
- A team member logs only a first name and the date in a private Google Sheet.
- Hark reminds the prayer team leader a week later to follow up personally.
- A team member writes each reply personally.
Use: Formspree, Google Sheets, Hark
You approve: Only the prayer team sees requests. A person writes every reply, and nothing is shared without the requester’s permission.
Bonus Workflow 3
Type 7: Connected CrewEvent From Idea to Follow-Up
One event, start to finish: plan, promote, register, remind, and thank.
- Claude turns your idea, date, and budget into a plan and a task list.
- The tasks go into ClickUp, with a person as owner of each.
- Ideogram makes the flyer, and Buffer schedules the promotion posts.
- A Formspree form on your website collects registrations and sends each one to your inbox.
- Klaviyo sends reminder emails to people who registered, and Claude drafts the thank-you email after the event.
Use: Claude, ClickUp, Ideogram, Buffer, Formspree, Klaviyo
You approve: You approve the plan, the budget, every post, every email, and the final guest list.
Tools to Try
Tools to Try
We researched these and support them. They’re not in our Toolbelt only because we don’t have a reason to use them ourselves yet. Both are AI phone receptionists that answer calls, take messages, and book appointments.
